Man on the beach
I think we’ve been so programmed with that “template” image of the human body that any departure from it stands out in our mind as odd. Artists are probably most guilty of standardizing the body form (male and female) in people’s minds. (Fashion photographers come next, but just because the camera was invented after the brush).
I’m of course guilty of that. Otherwise I wouldn’t have drawn the guy, or I wouldn’t think that my legs are too skinny.
