when i'm not holding a pen or fiddling with the computer, i'm (also) pretending to be a musician. when i'm not doing any of that, i'm looking up random stuff for no apparent reason and with no immediate use. but it pays off in the long run.

My name is Tarif. I’m from Cairo.
I spent my life drawing in the margins of schoolbooks, notebooks, and newspapers and rarely felt the urge to give my drawings their own space. Two years ago, that urge came. And thankfully it hadn’t left me since.
On a separate note, but thanks to that urge, I am no longer an investment banker, but a designer and illustrator and explorer of stuff (and I do make a living, so it’s all good).
